The job: an accountant's first client running in 360books inside an hour.
1. Create your firm — Practice → ⚙ My firm → create. You're the principal; add staff later by email (they need a free 360books account first). 2. Add the client — Practice → + Add a client: their name, year end, and a plan (R199 simple entity / R499 full Business). You own the file; use the invite field to give the client admin access to their own books if they'll participate, or keep it practice-only. 3. Link it to the firm — My firm → Clients → Link. Now it's on your practice dashboard, the cross-client SARS deadline board, and the billing card. 4. Get their paperwork — My firm → Document requests: pick the client, type "Last 3 months' bank statements", Create link, and WhatsApp or email the link. They upload without any login; you get an email per file; 📂 Documents on the client row shows everything with download buttons. 5. Import and set up — run their statements through Banking → Import in their file (the import recipe applies verbatim), set their SARS profile, and the deadline board starts telling you the truth about their VAT and provisional dates. 6. Put the work on the jobs board — Practice → Jobs → ⚡ Seed from SARS deadlines creates one job per obligation per client; assign them to staff and track to do / busy / waiting on client / done. 7. Know the money: under 6 client files there's no practice invoice — each file just runs its own subscription. From 6 files with books, every file drops to R300/month on one consolidated practice invoice, your own firm's file is free, and clients you refer who subscribe directly count toward the unlock.
